LOVE BY THE FIRST SIGHT
http://www.elllo.org/video/1151/V1153MikeLove.htm

Hi. My name's Mike. I'm from Canada and the question is do you believe in love at first sight? I have to say that I don't believe in love at first sight because true love cannot be determined the first time you see somebody. You might meet somebody and you might fall in love with the way they look or the way they act or the way they talk but until you really get to know somebody and you learn their likes and dislikes and you learn their true values, I don't think it's possible to experience true love. So when you first meet someone, although you may feel like it's love at first sight, true love doesn't come till later.

Hear the storyline.Kevin didn't show up for class because his car broke down....
Burt:Why didn't you show up for class this morning?
Kevin:I don't even want to talk about it.  My car broke down.
Burt:What happened?
Kevin:The engine seems to be busted.  It's driving me crazy!
Burt:Wow.  Have you thought about getting a new car?
Kevin:Yeah, I've thought about that, but I can't afford a new car.  I'm broke.
Burt:Maybe you can lease a car.  It doesn't cost much.  I know Toyota is running a promotion.
Kevin:Really?  How much is it?
Burt:Zero down and $219 per month.
Kevin:That's a good deal.  I might wanna consider it.

Arthur:What was that terrible noise?
Rose:I'm sorry.  I just dropped a stack of plates.
Arthur:Were you hurt?
Rose:Fortunately, no.  But I'm terribly sorry.
Arthur:I'm glad you're not hurt, but why did you drop the plates?
Rose:I couldn't help it. The plates were too greasy and slippery.
Arthur:You've got to be careful next time!

It's quite fun. The second thing you can do in my hometown is visit Suescos Lake. It's a lake, you know. It's not that big but there's a lot of trees and nature. I mean you can enjoy nature. There are many animals like deers also. The third thing that you can do in my hometown is to visit the hometown because my hometown is really old and there are a lot of traditional houses that you can enjoy the architecture there such as the churches and temples also. YOUR FAVORITE PLACE IN THE CITY

http://www.elllo.org/video/1151/V1151AisteCity.htm

Hello. My name is Aiste and I'm from Lithuania. It's for elllo.org. And now I want to talk about my

favorite place in the city. My favorite place in the city is the park. I really like parks because parks

are green. Parks like nature inside of a big, big place. In the park you can hide away from the

smell of the cars and the noise from the fabrics and always when I'm in the city I always stop in

the park for lunch. I prefer much more buying some lunchboxes from the market and coming to

eat in the park rather than sitting in cafe and being in one more building again.

Christophe: May I say are you sitting in a park again?

Aiste: Yes.

Christophe: Oh, you like the park, right?

Aiste: What's your favorite place in the city, Christophe?

Christophe: I like the park too because they have swings there.

Aiste: Yeah.

Christophe: Yeah, cool.

Aiste: That's the best part right?

Christophe: That's the best everything.

A BAD HARICUT - PRE INTERMEDIATE AND INTERMEDIATE
Rese / Botswana
The worst haircut I ever had was when I cut my- completely bald actually, because my eyes started to pop out and my nose looked bigger. And especially because I had that haircut in winter, so it was really cold and my head was kind of freezing.

Antoinette / United States
Oh, yes, I've had many bad haircuts. I'm an African-American, and living outside of an African-American community and having to get a haircut can be a trying experience. I lived overseas in an Asian community and I had my haircut. The first time I had my haircut, I didn't cry, but the person cutting my hair cried, because she didn't understand how to cut my hair. The second time I had my haircut, I had dreadlocks and I really liked my dreadlocks. I don't know why I cut them, still can't figure that out to this day, but I cried at that time.

Katia / Mexico
I had a few couple of bad haircuts. Probably, the worst one was when I cut my hair really short, and I made curls or had curls in my hair and it was short at the same time. I was not able to brush my hair for a few months after that haircut. Probably, that was my worst one.

Paul / England
The worst haircut I ever had was when I was preparing for a job interview and I asked the barber for a smart business cut. He did give me a smart business cut; however, it seems that the barber may have learned his trade in the 1920s, and it was very severe, short back and sides. It was completely kind of out of sync with my age and the year at the time. So, this was my worst haircut.

Matt / United States
I think the worst haircut I ever had was when I was ten years old. I went to the barber on my own for the first time, and I came home, and my mom was telling me how horrible of a job they did and I needed to go back. I didn't think they did a bad job, but I guess they did, because that's what my mom said.

Lindsay / United States
The worst haircut I ever had was this taper when I was in elementary school, where it started at the top of my head and there were layers going all the way down, and the whole haircut was tapered towards my face, and each piece of hair was a different length. It was quite ugly
