WRONG NUMBER:
Ao atendermos o telefone, às vezes percebemos que a pessoa discou o número errado. A expressão que normalmente usamos em portugues é "é engano". Em inglês, diga simplesmente "You have the wrong number". E se a pessoa perguntar por alguem desconhecido, diga "there isn't anyone here by that name".

* GOSTANDO (eu estou gostando da sua compania): Por favor, JAMAIS digam "I'm LIKING your company". Em vez de like, usem ENJOY, que é mais pra curtir ou desfrutar.

* SEE, UNDERSTAND, NEED, BELONG, BELIEVE, THINK (to have an opinion),FEEL (think), RECOGNIZE, etc = Nao sao normalmente utilizados no Continuous Tense (ing). Esqueça needing, seeing, believeing, etc.

Hello, my name is Florencia and I'm from Argentina.

The question is is there good transportation in your area?

Well, I am from Buenas Aires. That is a big city, so there is a lot of traffic. The best way to get from one point of the city to another point is to take a train or subway. We have a lot of buses also, but it could take double time that it takes to just take a train or subway, so I would rather take a train. I have it closer to my house, and I can get to the other point of the city in just half an hour, and that saves me a lot of time.

Apesar de no geral parecer bastante perguntas na hora do skype (pelo menos acontece comigo) elas foram poucas, até porque nem todas as perguntas se adequam a host family. Então de uma lida antes e adapte a realidade da sua família. 

Além dessas perguntas, a Gisella havia me passado uma vez um arquivo com 100 perguntas que toda au pair deveria saber responder ou perguntar, e eu tomei a liberdade de vir aqui dividir com vocês. Tem perguntas pra fazer para as HF, para AP responder, para a entrevista do visto, tem as mais importantes que devemos saber responder, etc. E elas estão separadas por cores. Deem uma olhada:
