Hi, this is Tom from China. Today my question is: Are any animals protected in your country? Yes, in China there are some animals protected by law, for example panda, and the bears, because there are fewer numbers of panda and bears in my country because the hunters want to kill the bears and the pandas to get their leather, to sell their meat, to make money, so the number of panda and bear is getting smaller and smaller so the government has to make a law for protecting them.

WHERE IS TOM FROM?

WHAT ANIMALS ARE PROTECTED  IN HIS COUNTRY?

WHY DO THE HUNTERS WANT TO KILL THE ANIMALS?

WHAT  DOES THE GOVERNMENT HAVE TO DO TO PROTECT THE ANIMALS?

TEXTO PARA ADVANCED ONES   ONLYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY

There was a frog that lived in a shallow well.
" Look how well off I am here ! " he told a big turtle from the Eastern Ocean. " I can hop along the coping of the well when I go out, and rest by a crevice in the bricks on my return. I can wallow to my heart's content with only my head above water, or stroll ankle deep through soft mud. No crabs or tadpoles can compare with me. I am master of the water and lord of this shallow well, What more can  a fellow ask ? Why don't you come here more often to have a good time ? "
Before the turtle from the Eastern Ocean could get his left foot into the well, however, he caught his right calw on something. So he halted and stepped back then began to describe the ocean to the frog.
" It's more than a thousand miles across and more than ten thousand feet deep. In ancient times there were floods nine years out of ten yet the water in the ocean never increased.
And later there were droughts seven years out of eight yet the water in the ocean never grew less. It has remained quite constant throughtout the ages. That is why I like to live in the Eastern Ocean. "
Then the frog in the shallow well was silent and felt a little abashed.

abashed   If you are abashed, you feel embarrassed and ashamed.

TEXTO BÁSICO 2

We had a very traditional wedding and it was extremely expensive, but it was worth it. Carol and I only paid half. Her parents paid for everything else. We got married in church. Carol wore a white dress and she looked fantastic. I wore a suit and I think I looked quite good too! We had a big reception. We had 200 guests. The reception was in a wonderful hotel. We took lots of pictures. It was just great!

Hello, I'm Katya from Bulgaria and today the question is what country would you like to see host the World Cup?
Well since I'm from Bulgaria, of course I would love to see Bulgaria host the World Cup and I was very happy when Africa hosted the World Cup because they got a big chance to actually promote their culture and country at the same time and if that happens in the Balkans, let's say Bulgaria or Turkey or Serbia or any other country, hosts the World Cup, I think it's a great opportunity for this region to develop more and get a lot of tourists to see how great our culture is and at the same time also it's good for the economy because as we all know Europe is currently experiencing a bit of trouble with their economy, especially Greece. But Greece, I think, already hosted some big events so it doesn't really need that, but for small countries, even other countries in Europe, I think it's very good for promoting culture and meeting new people there.

I live in a big city now. I like very much to live here. I have two friends that live in a small city, and they like it. I prefer to live here, because I work and study a lot. There are many places to go. My friends say:  To live in a small city is special , because we have many friends and we have happy moments with our family. Here, in a small city, the people are more calm.I live in a big city and I will go live here forever. And you? What is your opinion about this situation?
